Winter Shopper Special

Running from the 1st November to the 31st March residents and visitors will be able to purchase a £2 ticket from a ticket machine and it will be valid in any East Devon car park until midnight on the day of purchase.

You can use your ticket in any East Devon District Council Pay & Display car park until midnight on the day of purchase.

Pay just £2 and park for the rest of the day (till midnight) and the same ticket can be used in any East Devon District Council Pay & Display car park. The ticket will show the "normal" expiry time but as long as you have paid £2 it will be valid all day.

Car Parking in Honiton

Almost all the car parks in Honiton are run by East Devon District Council and in a nutshell if you are staying for three hours then all charge the same rate.

There are both short stay car parks and long stay car parks but in the long stay ones the prices to park for the first three hours are the same as the short stay, so if you are only staying up to three hours then use either.

None of the car parks are locked overnight and none have height restrictions.

Lace Walk Car Park

This is the largest car park in Honiton and nearest to the town centre. It is deemed "Short Stay"

You must pay to park between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Motorcycle parking is free. The car park is open 24 hours.

New Street North Car Park

This is a "Long Stay" car park is up towards the station and near to The Star Inn (Wetherspoons) and fairly close to the town centre. You must pay to park between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Motorcycle parking is free. The car park is open 24 hours.

New Street South Car Park

This is a "Long Stay" car park is up towards the station and next to The Star Inn (Wetherspoons) and fairly close to the town centre. You must pay to park between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Motorcycle parking is free in the adjacent "North" section of the car park. The car park is open 24 hours.

King Street Car Park

This "Short Stay" car park is up towards the station and down the turning to the right just before The Star Inn (Wetherspoons) and fairly close to the town centre. You must pay to park between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. There is no designated motorcycle space and it is suggested you use the nearby New Street North Car Park where a space and free parking for motorbikes is offered. The car park is open 24 hours.

Silver Street Car Park

This is a "Long Stay" car park and is a bit tricky to find! See linked page for directions. Parking is charged at the same rate as the other car parks for the first three hours but once you have paid for three hours you can stay for 24 hours.

Community College Car Park

This is situated right next to Silver Street Car Park and can only be used outside of term time. It is actually the cheapest place to park in Honiton for a stay of over one hour but a little out of town and the tariff is a little complicated! See linked page.

Thelma Hulbert Galley Car Park

Somewhat complicated this small car part is situated next to Lace Walk Car Park and is worth considering as a long stay option but because it is so close to the town centre is a popular spot. It has white and blue spaces and you need to pay according to the space you are in! See the page linked for more information.

The Beehive Theatre Car Park

Details for this 37 space car park next to the theatre will follow. It is planned to operate on a "Pay and Display" basis operated by East Devon District Council but right now it is free parking for up to four hours. (Correct May2022, check signs locally.)

The 62 space station car park may be found, unsurprisingly, near the railway station and bridge, heading just out of town on New Street.
